The European Parliament and Council Directive (EU) 2024/1760, published on 5 July in the Official Journal of the European Union (EU) and which will enter into force on 25 July, is responsible for implementing a set of rules aimed at ensuring that certain companies based or operating in the EU, as well as in third countries, adopt practices that promote environmental sustainability and safeguard human rights.
