On 27 May, following a meeting of the Extraordinary Council of Ministers, a set of measures was approved that partly implement the new housing strategy ‘Building Portugal’, presented to the Portuguese on 10 May 2024.
We have a set of measures that will result in a change to the regime applicable to local housing, as well as the repeal of the controversial regime of forced or coercive renting in relation to housing deemed vacant.
